MODELLING MICROWAVES IN BAUXITE

چکیده

Abstract Sending microwaves through bauxite ore allows almost continuous measurement of moisture content during offload by conveyor belt from a ship. Data and results microwave analyser were brought to European Study Group with Industry at the University Limerick, over-arching question whether are accurate enough. The equipment uses linear regression against phase shifts signal attenuation infer in real time. Simple initial modelling conducted supports this use for shift data. However, that work also revealed striking puzzling differences between model We present an improved multiple reflections travelling within air above it. Our new four differential equations describe how electric fields change distance each layers. By solving these taking into account, we can accurately predict what receiving antenna will pick up. solution provides much-improved matches data analyser, indicates deleterious effects reflections. Modelled strength behaviour features highly undesirable noninvertible dependence on mixture permittivity. Practical measures might be expected reduce improve accuracy suggested based our solution. This approach anticipated extend analysis transport belts other ores, slurries, coal, grains pharmaceutical powders, especially when depth conveyed material is variable.

Predictive hydrogeochemical modelling of bauxite residue sand in field conditions.

The suitability of residue sand (the coarse fraction remaining from Bayer's process of bauxite refining) for constructing the surface cover of closed bauxite residue storage areas was investigated. Specifically, its properties as a medium for plant growth are of interest to ensure residue sand can support a sustainable ecosystem following site closure. The geochemical evolution of the residue s...

Modelling and optimization of digestion efficiency of bauxite in Bayer process: Iran Alumina company

In the present work, we investigated and optimized the digestion efficiency, A/S (Al2O3/SiO2 in red mud), and N/S (Na2O/SiO2 in red mud) of mixed bauxite in Iran Alumina Company using the Bayer process. Digestion experiments were carried out in an induction rotary autoclave on a mix of Jajarm, Yazd, Tash, and Shirin Cheshmeh baux...

Analysis of ASTER data for mapping bauxite rich pockets within high altitude lateritic bauxite, Jharkhand, India

Bauxite deposits of Jharkhand in India are resulted from the lateritization process and therefore are often associated with the laterites. In the present study, ASTER (Advanced Space borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer) image is processed to delineate bauxite rich pockets within the laterites. In this regard, spectral signatures of lateritic bauxite samples are analyzed in the labo...

Microwaves: a revolution in histoprocessing.

BACKGROUND AND AIM Pathologists are under constant pressure for instant and reliable diagnosis. The manual procedures employed in private laboratories and institutional setup for histoprocessing and staining are laborious and intense. Thus, this study aims to evaluate and compare the microwave tissue processing and staining with the conventional methods which are in vogue. MATERIALS AND METHO...
